Stinkerbell

(some info on Stinkerbell from West Wildlife Rehab)

Stinkerbell is one of the skunks we rescued from the Ashtabula fur farm in January 2025. In March of that year, WEST rehabber Salena obtained her education permit and welcomed Stinkerbell as an official education ambassador. Salena has poured her heart into earning Stinkerbell’s trust while giving her a wonderful, cage-free life — and Stinkerbell repays her by charming everyone she meets at education events.

Last week, Salena noticed a growth on Stinkerbell’s gums. Given that her teeth were already in poor condition — something we've seen in nearly all of our fur farm animals, a result of a poor diet and chewing on the wire boxes to which they were confined — we reached out to Kings Veterinary Hospital, who graciously agreed to see her.

Stinkerbell had her dental surgery today. It was a big one, but we’re so relieved her issues were caught and treated before they could escalate into something more serious.

We are committed to giving Stinkerbell and Cordelia (Verdi’s fur farm ambassador) the best possible lives — for the rest of their lives. We're hoping all of you can help cover the cost of today's surgery.

How To Enter

Submit only ONE ANIMAL PER $10 donation, please. (You may send multiple photos of a single animal for each $10 donation.)

  • NO professionally taken photos please.
